The『②』effect is a Trigger Effect that can be activated in the Monster Zone. (It cannot be activated if this card has 4 Piece Counters.)
When the『②』effect resolves, you perform the『place 1 Piece Counter on this card (max. 4)』resolution. Then, the corresponding『●』effect based on the number of Piece Counters on this card can be applied. (These resolutions do not happen at the same time.)
When resolving the『●1』effect, the monster selected from the Deck is shown to the opponent before it's placed on top of the Deck. Also, when resolving the『●3』effect, the card selected from the Deck is shown to the opponent before it's added to the hand.
When resolving the『●4』effect, the card selected from the Deck does not need to be shown to the opponent.
