While this effect is applying, you cannot Normal Summon or Flip Summon monsters of a different type from the face-up monsters in your Monster Zone. Also, you cannot Special Summon such monsters face-up. (You also cannot choose such monsters as the monsters to be Special Summoned.)
Regardless of this effect, you can Normal Set any monster, and Special Summon any monster in face-down Defense Position.
If there are face-up monsters of different types on a player's field when this effect begins applying, that player must immediately send monsters to the Graveyard so they only control monsters of a single type.
