This effect also applies to cards that are already on the field.
As long as this effect's activation and effect were not negated, this effect will remain applied until the end of your opponent's next turn, even if this card has stopped existing face-up in the Monster Zone by the time the effect resolves, or stops doing so after this effect resolves.

Regarding『● They cannot be placed on the field:』
The relevant cards cannot be placed on the field (face-up or face-down) from outside the field.
The relevant cards from outside the field also cannot be used as Xyz Materials for monsters on the field.

Regarding『● They, or their effects, cannot be activated or applied:』
You cannot activate them as Spell/Trap Cards. You cannot activate their effects, regardless of where those effects would be activated or applied. Even if the effect does not form a Chain Link, it cannot be applied.
Any effects that resolved before this effect began applying will still apply while it is applying.
