This card's effect that excavates 3 cards from the top of your Deck and allows you to add a "Marincess" card among them to your hand is a Trigger Effect that activates in the Graveyard. (It does not target.)
Adding a card to your hand and shuffling the rest into the Deck happen simultaneously.
If there are no "Marincess" cards among the 3 excavated cards, or if you choose not to add one to your hand, you will only apply the effect that shuffles the remaining cards into the Deck.
