If the excavated card has the same Attribute as the targeted monster, adding that card to your hand and shuffling the targeted monster into the Deck happen simultaneously.
If the excavated card has a different Attribute than the targeted monster, or is a Spell/Trap Card, sending that card to the Graveyard and destroying this card happen simultaneously.
