If the only monster on your field is Gimmick Puppet Chimera Doll itself, or if the only other monsters on your field are all face-up "Gimmick Puppet" monsters when this effect resolves, you can choose to apply the part of the effect that Special Summons a "Gimmick Puppet" monster from your hand after adding one from your Deck to your hand or sending it to the Graveyard.
Adding or sending a "Gimmick Puppet" monster from your Deck to your hand or Graveyard and Special Summoning a "Gimmick Puppet" monster from your hand do not happen simultaneously.
