When resolving this effect, you discard 1 card and send 1 "Fossil" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck to the Graveyard. (These parts are treated as happening simultaneously.)

This card's effect that inflicts 500 damage to your opponent is an Ignition Effect that can be activated on the field. (It does not target. Sending this card from the field to the Graveyard is a cost to activate this effect.)
When resolving this effect you inflict 500 damage to your opponent. After that, if Fossil Fusion is in your Graveyard, you can return 1 of your banished Fossil Fusion, or 1 card that specifically lists that card in its text, to the Graveyard. (These parts are not treated as happening simultaneously.)
