This effect can be activated optionally at the end of the Damage Step when a monster in the Extra Monster Zone is destroyed by battle with a monster in the Main Monster Zone and sent to the Graveyard.
This effect can be activated not only when your monster in the Extra Monster Zone is destroyed by your opponent's monster in the Main Monster Zone, but also when your opponent's monster in the Extra Monster Zone is destroyed by your monster in the Main Monster Zone.

This card's effect to draw 1 card is a Trigger Effect that activates in the Graveyard. (It does not target, and can be activated during the Damage Step.)
