This card's effect that makes your opponent discard a random card in your hand and apply an effect depending on what it was is an Ignition Effect. (It does not target.)
When this effect resolves, your opponent chooses 1 random card in your hand and discards it. If the discarded card is a card other than Danger! Thunderbird!, Special Summon 1 Danger! Thunderbird! from your hand and draw 1 card.
