This card's effect targets an opponent's monster that declares a direct attack.
If you do not have a Level 4 or lower "Cubic" monster in your hand, you cannot activate Cubic Rebirth.
The opponent Special Summoning monsters and placing Cubic Counters, and you Special Summoning 1 Level 4 or lower "Cubic" monster from your hand are not treated as happening simultaneously.
